American Killed In Truck Accident While Trying To Kick Soccer Ball From Seattle To Brazil World Cup.

42 year-old Richard Swanson was tragically killed in a truck accident in Oregon after recently beginning his journey from Seattle, Washington to the soccer World Cup in Brazil in 2014. 

Swanson had planned to dribble his soccer ball from Seattle, and through 11 countries, before arriving at the World Cup in Brazil.  Swanson also planned to use his journey to raise money for a charity, One World Futbol Project, which donates soccer balls to children in developing nations.

Local Oregon authorities continue to investigate this tragic wrongful death truck accident. The driver of the truck has not yet been charged.
