26 year-old Jermaine Elliot was crossing the street in Bronx, New York when a white box truck struck him. The truck driver did not stop. Instead, he drove away.
Elliot was left seriously injured and bleeding on the street. Emergency personnel responded shortly after the collision and took Elliot to a local hospital emergency room, but he was later pronounced dead from his personal injuries.
Police are now searching for the truck driver. It is not clear whether the driver knew that he had struck Elliot when he kept driving from the scene of the fatal trucking accident.
