Los Angeles Car Crash Kills Father; 9 Year-Old Daughter Survives.

In Los Angeles, California, 9 year-old Celia Renteria was lucky to survive the rollover car crash that claimed the life of her father, 35 year-old Alejandro Renteria.

According to local authorities, the father’s 2012 Ford Escape rolled over and careened off a rural Los Angeles roadway to the bottom of a rugged canyon.

Celia, who was recently released from a Southern California hospital, posted a video describing the ordeal. Celia described how she hiked over a mile to try to find help for her father.

Speaking from a hospital bed, Celia told how she climbed back up the canyon and eventually waved down a passing car. This was after she had hiked to a nearby house only to find it empty.

Despite Celia’s valiant efforts, emergency responders found Celia’s father, Alejandro, already dead at the scene of the wrongful death auto accident. He was pinned in the driver’s seat.

Celia sustained bruises and cuts to her face, but was released from the hospital this past Monday.
