The hospital has attempted to reassure the public that there is no risk of rabies spreading to other patients.<\/p>\n<p><strong>UK\u2019s Health Protection Agency and the Darent Valley Hospital have launched separate investigations to determine why the patient was twice turned away without an accurate diagnosis.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>More than 55,000 people around the world die every year from rabies.
