The force of the collision was serious enough, but making matters even worse, the Garcia&#8217;s truck&#8217;s roof collapsed when the truck rolled over. <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Cambria, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">This resulted in<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Cambria, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">\u00a0serious brain injuries to Jennifer. She was unresponsive <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Cambria, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">at the scene,\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Cambria, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">and was immediately rushed to the <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Cambria, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Valley Baptist Medical Center-Harlingen,<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Cambria, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"> where she fell into a deep coma. After eighteen days, Jennifer died. She was only sixteen. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Cambria, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">Arguing that the truck&#8217;s roof <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Cambria, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">was defective and thereby\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Cambria, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">failed to properly protect her, Jennifer&#8217;s family sued <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Cambria, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\">the <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-family: Cambria, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: large;\"><strong>Ford Motor Company<\/strong>.
