Illinois Man Filling Wrongful Death Lawsuit Against Man Accused Of Crashing Into His Wife With His Car, Killing Her And Their Three Sons.

While the circumstances surrounding a wrongful death lawsuit will never be pleasant for those involved, it may be the only way for the family of the deceased to begin to recover from their loss. If it can be proved that their loved one died due to the negligence of another, they may be entitled to substantial pecuniary damages for pain and suffering, lost wages of the deceased, medical expenses incurred prior to death, and funeral expenses. A man is being sued for his alleged involvement in a car crash that killed a pregnant mother and her three children last year. The wrongful death lawsuit was filed on January 12 on behalf of Edward Schmidt, the husband and father of the victims. Sean Woulfe, 25 years-old, faces 16 counts of reckless driving for the July 24 crash. The prosecution alleges that Mr. Woulfe was driving east in his Chevrolet S10 pickup truck at a speed more than 20 mph over the posted limit when he ran a stop sign before crashing. He is accused of striking a 2014 Subaru Outback carrying Mr. Schmidt’s pregnant wife, Lindsey, and their three sons. Lindsey Schmidt, just 29 years-old, and their 19 month-old son, Kaleb, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. Their 4 year-old, Weston, died at the Comer’s Children Hospital in Chicago, Illinois the next day, and 6 year-old Owen died two days later at the same hospital.
