Wrongful Death Victim’s Parents Sue Estate Of Television Star.

Last year, Ryan Dunn, a star of the hit television show “Jackass,” died in an auto crash just outside of Philadelphia, PA.  Dunn’s passenger, Zachary Hartwell, also died in that auto accident.  Hartwell’s parents are now suing Dunn’s estate for the wrongful death and also the restaurant that served Dunn alcohol just prior to the motor vehicle accident. 

The lawsuit alleges that Dunn was visibly drunk and that he should not have been served any further by the restaurant. 

Police report that Dunn’s alcohol level at the time of the auto crash was more than double the legal limit, and that the car was going as fast as 140 mph before the accident.

Tennessee Titans Football Player Dies From Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound.

25 year-old O.J. Murdock committed suicide in front of his alma mater, Middleton High School, in Tampa, Florida recently. 

Murdock was a wide receiver for the Tennessee Titans professional football team prior to his death.  Murdock was signed onto the team last year following his college career at South Carolina University.  However, Murdock was forced to sit out his first season with an Achilles injury.

Murdock was found in his car with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound in front of the high school. He was pronounced dead two hours after being taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The Titans head coach, Mike Munchak, says that Murdock had been excused from the Titan’s training camp last week for “personal reasons.”  No further details about his personal situation or any motive for his committing suicide have yet been released.

Woman Killed in Multiple Motor Vehicle Accident.

A 64 year-old woman was tragically killed in a car accident at about 5:20 p.m. last Wednesday on Eastgate Road in Henderson, Nevada.

The wrongful death victim was a rear seat passenger in a 2012 Nissan. The motor vehicle was being driven at the time of the auto crash by 63-year-old Patricia Carameli of Ohio.

The Nissan apparently first stopped at the intersection of Eastgate Road and West Warm Springs Road. It then entered the intersection. The Nissan was next struck hard by a 1999 Ford F-150 that was traveling westbound on Warm Springs Road. The truck was being driven by 48-year-old David Rodilosso of Henderson.

As a result of the impact, the Nissan began to spin around and struck a 2005 Dodge minivan, which was stopped at the stop sign on southbound Eastgate Road.

The Henderson woman was transported to the St. Rose Dominican Hospital Rose de Lima Campus after the auto crash. She was then pronounced dead by the attending medical personnel. Another passenger was also taken to St. Rose with non-life threatening injuries, and the other person was taken to the Sunrise Hospital & Medical Center emergency room in critical condition.

The drivers and passengers in the other vehicles sustained only minor or other non-life threatening personal injuries.

Speed, alcohol and drugs are not believed to be factors in the truck accident. The motor vehicle accident is still under investigation.
