A person was struck and killed by a commuter rail near the South Bay shopping center in Dorchester, MA on Wednesday evening, according to Massachusetts Bay Commuter Rail officials. The passengers on the train were transferred to another train. The Massachusetts Bay Commuter Rail said the person was trespassing, and that no other information was available as of Wednesday night.

Michael Demick, a 24 year-old man from New York, was recently killed in a car accident in the Berkshires. According to local authorities, Demick’s truck crossed over the middle lane while he was driving on Brodie Mountain Road in Hancock, MA and collided with another motor vehicle. Demick’s motor vehicle caught fire and he died at the scene of the accident. Two individuals in the other car were taken to a local hospital where they were treated for minor injuries. The cause of the auto accident is currently under investigation.
