Providence, Rhode Island Police Officer Killed in Cruiser Accident.

Just one day after police officer Maxwell Dorley talked a young man off a bridge, Dorley died in a car accident while responding to a request for backup.  A witness told investigators that Dorley was trying to move out of the way of another vehicle when he lost control of his cruiser.  Dorley was pronounced dead at the Rhode Island Hospital.  He had been a police officer in Rhode Island for 15 years.

The study shows that the Earth was closer to the moon at that time than it had been in the previous 1,000 years. The second theory suggests that the icy waters created a mirage which hid icebergs from lookouts and did not allow for a nearby ship to see the Titanic clearly, which resulted in the delay of rescue crews.

Final Report Issued Following Investigation Of 2011 Drowning In Fall River, MA Pool.

Boston, MA Wrongful Death LawyerThe Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) recently issued its final report regarding the drowning of a 36 year-old woman in a state-run pool in Fall River, MA. The report included a number of recommendations and changes in procedures for pool safety. The changes include such things as security camera installation, temporarily closing all slides, increasing staffing, and increasing employment hours to allow for more staff training.

The investigation began after Marie Joseph drowned in the deep end of a Fall River pool in June, 2011. Joseph could not swim, and her body was not discovered until two days after her drowning because the water was so murky. Massachusetts officials later said that the pool was not in compliance with DCR standards, and should not have even been open to the public.
